I spoke with Rick from Triumph today. He waited to call me after their weekly staff meeting. Everything is a go. So, far, this is what he has set up...
The tour will go from about 11-1 on Saturday, September 16, 2006. (Some of the higher level staff were a bit concerned becaused they don't work on Saturdays. We won't see the boats actually being made. However, Rick is going to have some of the employees there to help explain the process)
He will have the event catered. He hasn't selected who will do the food but he said he will take care of this.
He is going to get some of the dealers involved. Of course Merritt Marine will be involved and I suggested Portside Marine also. He is going to take care of contacting both of the dealers.
Triumph will have some "door prizes" and will give away hat and T-shirts. I was also thinking that the dealers might want to have some "freebies". I mentioned this to him and he said he will broach the subject with them. (Dick, I know you read this site everyday...so I am putting you on notice...We want some free stuff

)
Rick is very excited to show us the factory and discuss Triumph Boats. He is very pleased that we have such an interest in wanting to see the factory and see how our great boats are constructed.
Please, if anybody has any suggestions or comments email or PM me.
Do we think this should be longer than 2 hours?
What kind of food would you like to have?
Are there any questions anybody might have for the factory? (I can compile them and send them to Rick and maybe he can address them at function. Please don't turn this into bash session of the boats as I won't even send that to them.)
What would you like to get out of this function?
Well, I think that's enough for now.
