Wire Harness in Triumphs
I had posted a previous question about an intermittant electrical problem. Got a quick response from Dick @ Merritt that it was probably a ground problem. I finally got to a Yamaha dealer, described the problem and got a rather lengthy description of how Genmar does not use the OEM harness, but rather 3rd party harnesses across much of their products and how these harnesses are a regular problem. He does carry some Genmar lines.
I have just moved so this is a new dealer for me. Has anybody else heard a similar tale of woe, or is he going to try and sell me a new harness to adress the ground problem?
