Recommendations after applying bottom paint to my 215 hull:
1. Only one quart of 3M 94 primer is necessary. You will have a little less than a pint left over.
2. Two quarts of bottom paint will cover the hull twice. I bought a gallon, painted the hull three times and still have a cup of paint left.
3. #80 sandpaper is way too rough. I would suggest #120 or even #160. The #80 left a very rough finish that still shows through three layers of bottom paint. I'll use a much lighter grit sandpaper three years from now when I do the hull again.
4. The entire process took about ten hours, (two days, five hours each day). Some of the time was waiting for paint to dry.
