Marine Battery Problem
I am new the web page and learn something new each time on. I have '00 210 with a 130 Honda that just bought used and I am having an ongoing battery problem. I have (2) 1000cca Exide marine deep cycles. They are connected to the boat though a battery switches for 1, 2, or both. Battery 1 has all the electronics and bilge hot all the time thru an additional circuit breaker. The problem is that when the boat sits for a few days even after charging battery 1 will not start the boat. I have to start on #2 and then switch back to 1 so electronics battery will stay charged while running. I am pretty sure that I do not have an auto cycle bilge. My plan is to run the electronics to the hot post on the switch and only bulge hot to a battery. My question is do I need a different battery for cranking or can I stay with the 2 deep cycles, these batteries are new this year and I transplanted to this boat from my old boat.
