I just spoke with Rick Davis at Triumph. Everything is still on schedule. They are putting together a great time for us. We will meet at the factory around 11am and plan on being there about 3 hours. Here is a rough list of what they have planned.
1) A tour of the facility to see how the boats are made.
2) Lunch catered by Bullocks BBQ. (mmmmmm.....Bullocks BBQ

)
3) Some freebies for us. (hats, t-shirts, etc.)
4) A video presentation of the boats including the making of the 23 footer. (You are going to be impressed with the 23 footer. There are a lot of options on this boat that have me very anxious to buy one. I can't wait to see one and I wish they were already out as I would have to buy one.) i don't know if we will be able to see the actual mold but they have a video showing it, concepts drawings, standard equipment and optional equipment.
Due to all of the dealer meetings/shows the past few weeks, Rick has not had a chance to talk with any of the dealers to get involved. So, they have decided to do this tour without asking any dealers to contribute anything. Of course any dealer can come to take the tour with us boat owners.
I asked him if we could take pictures to post on this site and he said he didn't have a problem with it but would need to check with management.
Over the next week or 2, please solidify your plans and let me know, in a post if you are coming and how many people you are bringing. Rick needs to know a fairly accurate count by September 8th for catering as well as having enough staff members and facilities to accomodate our group. So, far this is who I have coming:
AstroDiver, DeerHunter, Dick@merrittmarine, mikej, NCangler, NCBuck, rtilley, Tallmantwo, tarheelborn66 Will any of you be bringing anybody with you? Are any of you not going to be able to make it? Please give me a head count of how many adults and or kids you will be bringing with you.
This is going to be a fun time and I look forward to seeing everybody there. I think this is just another great thing about Triumph Boats. How many other boat manufacturing companies would do something like this for their customers?
