The 170CC in not self bailing and all water from the deck goes into the bilge. The bilge pump takes care of it from there. The water intrusion problem into the inner hull has not been an issue with the 170CC. Some (not all) of the larger models have had problems with water getting into the inner hull. Even that has been a pretty painless fix with an additional drain installed. I hope this answered your questions.
