90 HP is not enough in my opinion and not only will speed suffer, but the engine will work harder to get it moving. Boats don't glide very far when you don't have any power applied (unlike your truck) which should show you just how much work is involved to get a boat on a plane and keep it there. I would not go with anything less than a 115 on a 190 Bay and from the different ones I have been on, I like the 150 the best
