Question A 2004 190 Bay in 2007?

Hi Folks,
Just found your site today and perhaps its just in time.
I'm looking at a 2004 190 Bay w/ 115 Yammi and need some help with what appears to be a defect in the hull, before I make a commitment.
On both starboard and port bottom panels about 1/3 rd of the way aft from the bow, there is a concavity running from the keel to the chine which appears as if it could be the result of a considerable impact where the hull material didn't return to its original shape. According to the much touted "sledge hammer" test, this shouldn't be, and, in fact, I've had two dealers tell me that this is the result of shrinkage out of the mold.
I'm wondering if this is simply a routine cosmetic aberration, or something that I should be concerned about.
Supposedly, the previous owner had no problem with this and has traded up to a larger craft.
Hoping to get some advise from Triumph owners before I "pull the trigger" on this one.

Thanks,

CRAngler
