The wait is unbearable at times. But we have plenty to keep us busy so it is ok.

It's good to hear the boat gets up on plane quickly. What size prop are you running? And how is the boat on gas consumption.

I already am having the rod holders changed. They are going to put side loaders that have a retractable strap built in. I mostly fly fish for stipers and don't really want to deal with broken rods. I put "Rod Savers" on the 170cc and they were ok until I got into really rough water. The rod butts would tend to fall out of place after a little bit.

My son (8) wants to go crabbing this year. I haven't done yet so I think we will start out with some traps and see if he likes it first. If so, maybe we will move up to trotline next year.

Also, I got a good deal on a Garmin 178C. It is a gps and finder combination. I also picked up an upper bay expansion card for it. I was using a Garmin 72 (handheld) and an Eagle 320 on the other boat. So the Garmin 72 I will use as a backup and for geocaching.

y the way, I keep my boat in North East (in the yard at the Basket Factory) and put in at Anchor Marine. Since we go out so much, I just get a yearly pass at Anchor. It works out pretty well most of the time, but sometimes people putting in and out at the ramp are a little disorganized. Butch and his crew do a good job keeping people moving though.

I would love to see pictures when you have some. Maybe it will inspire us to do something with ours.
