Excellent Idea. Couple of thoughts. (1) Make sure you deal with the liability issue. Would review with legal expert who can tell you what you would need to do to protect yourself from lawsuit. (2) Set up Menu so DVD user can quickly go back to a subsection (example: Winterizing your Truimph Section Locker Cleaning. etc) Some people like to go back to the instructions to review as they work through a project. (3) Best how-to VIdeos have a beginning section that tells and shows you the tools you will need to do the task that you are being taught on the video. Would definitely include in your video. (4) If at all possible make it a family video. Male and females young and old doing the teaching if possible and definitely the showing. It will make your DVD for appealing to a wider audience, Droll authoritative is OK but gets beaten up by couple of people (especially male and female) kidding each other and having a good time as they teach. Think Car talk or This old house. If this is going over budget at least try and have a pretty girl talking instead of an ugly old bald guy :-) (5) Try to keep from out dating yourself unless you plan to do a new DVD ever 3-4 years. (6) If you could get the correct permissions/copyright you could add dome neat (DVD EXTRAS). A. Triumph being dropped off a building. B. Picures of Barnacle detaching off Roplene Hull. C. Video of Triumph 210 hitting a floating log in the water going full speed. D. Amateur Home Movies/Neat things families have done with their Triumph, Special Fishing Trips/You pick Subject. I hope that this turns into a successful venture for you good luck.
