Gimbal mount downriggers
Has anyone used a downrigger attached to a gimbal mount rod holder base? I've seen them online and would rather not drill into the boat if I can avoid it. I'm wondering if they are pretty stable, etc. I would use it on a 195CC. I fish a lot for Stripers in New England and like to use lighter tackle. The wire/lead line takes a lot of the fun out of it but when it's warm out you need to troll in 20 feet or more of water to get to the fish.
