I own a 2006 170DC with a 60 HP 4 Stroke Yamaha. I do have a hydrofoil: with the engine trimmed all the way down it jumps out of the water into a plane with hardly any bow lifting. Once on a plane I trim up to increase speed without touching the throttle. Yes, I might be sitting lower than the 170CC owners but it does not affect visibility (at least on my setup). Got 46 hours on the tach and still love it!
