Dave is correct. The sending unit is visible once you lift the rear deck plate. First time you do that it will be sticky and you will have to pry up on it. There is some black sticky tape material under the plate to seal it better to the deck. Don't worry about sealing it real good when you replace the deck plate. You will have it up again for other things sooner or later.
