I recently bought an '07 170 DC,it just looked to me like it would seat more people comfortably than the CC, and four people could fish without bumping into each other with the seating arrangements. The hulls are exactly the same on both boats, so it does just come down to personal preference as far as I'm concerned.

PS: I love my boat!
