Maiden Voyage, 195DC

Well i took delivery of my 195DC today and took it home and installed the GPS/SONAR Combo. Then it was off to Lake Wylie to break that Yamaha 150 in according to Triumph manual and dealer instruction.

Arrived at lake and it started drizzling but there was no way that was going to stop me from cranking that baby up. I cranked and could hardly hear anything.... Big Smile on my face. After no waking out of the cove I took it up to 2000 rpm's for an hour as instructed. HOW BORING! Maxed out at 7.6 MPH for an hour! Arrrgggg!

Finally after an hour it was time to take it up a notch. I figured when I powered up to 3000 rpm that it would reach 12-15 MPH.... WRONG! That puppy planed out and burst up to 26 MPH. Not that fast but after an hour at less than 8MPH it was screaming.

At this point the rain picked up and it cooled off. I played with the trim some and had to make small adjustments to keep it at 3000 rpm. Finally I took it back to the dock to get out of the cold rain. I now have to give it another 10 hours at any speed except full throttle. I cant wait to see what happens at full throttle.

I love this boat, smooth, super quiet and reasonably fast at 3000 rpm.
