Although I am new to the forum and having a triumph, I do spend a lot of time on the water. Since my purchase a month ago, my boat has over 50 hours on it and is currently back down at the dealer getting some more things added as well as some warranty work performed.
One suggestion I do have, that I spoke with the factory about is why can't these boats have a thru- hull transducer. Is it possible that I am alone being the only one that is not satisfied with a transom mount ducer. I do have top notch gear, and yes it is installed properly. Just a frustration I would love to see remedied.
The fit and finish is not so great as has been mentioned and pretty much beat up on the board. I know plastic will deflect in heat and sun, but when lids don't close properly to after the first week, there is a problem.
The last thing that really needs some some attention is the coambing pads. The pads tend to come loose and fall off all the time. And the worst part about it is the design consists of any upward pressure and they pop loose. I fish hard, and I fish a lot. So when I am in the harness with my knees against the pads and they are coming loose and popping up, it does begin to get a little frustrating.
My boat and I have fished one shark tourney this year, I am going to fish 3 more. It has been on the water 8 times since I have purchased the boat. I am fishing 3 marlin tourneys also this year, but am not sure if those will be on my rig or not. I usually fish about 75-85 days a year. I love the boat, I love the ride and the whole setup. Some of the little details need to be ironed out though to be truly effective.
