just bought a 2003 170cc with a 60 horse yamaha 4-stroke,
man that engines quiet!!! well considering i went from a ski-doo challanger 1800 with a v6 240 horse with NO exhaust tip, yeah its pretty quiet. the challanger was fun to pull tubes and go fast (but too fast sometimes) but it also sucked down gas like a marathon runner sucks down water and it was no good for fishing.
