Llama,

There are a few of us who have mounted kickers for offshore use. The brackets are varied with each owner. I use a 7.5 Honda because it is light weight. I just plumbed the gas hose to the unused outlet on my fuel filter. You must watch your combined weight of kicker and main engine and not exceed the 550 limit. Also the bracket should be done by someone who knows how to work on these boats. Warranty should also be a factor if you still have yours, you will want to make sure you don't void it.

My bracket started out as a SS plate that I mounted to the starboard side transom. It was done following a diagram I got from the Triumph factory. I then had some rails put on the plate so I could remove the entire bracket on days I didn't need the kicker.

There is a photo or two in my gallery if you want to see what it looks like. The install is not rocket science but is a little complicated and involves tying the inner hull wall to the outer wall by use of spacers and through bolts. It also uses SS togglers, lots of Rule Elastomeric, and a little starboard for a spacer and strengthener. PM me if you want more info. Photos are out for now since my camera took a dump. I am also moving so will be off line for about 10 days starting July 30th.

Good Luck, Codfish
