The fuel guage reads full while the translucent tank is obviously half-full. Anybody have an idea?

The fuel tank is under the splashwell and under the floorboards. It is an "L" shape with the part you see under the splashwell forming one part and a lower part that goes forward under the floorboard. There was a picture of one in one of the threads here but I can't seem to locate it.

As for fuel guages...they're very unreliable. Mine usually shows full only when I fill it completely full. After that, it shows about 1/2 most of the time. When it shows 1/4, I head for the gas station.

Keep in mind what you are looking at is the top 1/2 of your fuel tank. If it's 1/2 full, then you have 3/4 of a tank left.

I hope this helps.
