Fishfinder88,
Short answer: $8995.
The rest of the story:
It all started when my wife said "Honey, I think you need to buy a boat." I immediately concluded that she had become the perfect wife. Not one to disrespect my wife's opinions, I started a search for the perferct 17 foot Center Console under $10 thousand - our arbitrary budget. I settled on Triumph & narrowed the search. Found the 170CC via www.boattrader.com & drove about 300 miles for a test run, closed the deal & picked it up two weeks later. I paid 8995.00 at a used boat brokerage which included a new trolling motor. That's close to NADA pricing, perhaps a bit higher. The cushions were non-existant but the boat motor & trailer are in good shape & cleaned up very well. (I was just asked if it was a new boat.) I think well equipped new ones around 17K. We're happy buying it used. The hull is pretty much indestructible & cleans easily. I'd suggest being picky about the engine. Good luck in your search. Going off-line for about ten days for extensive boating & fishing pleasure. Perhaps a fishing report will follow. BobW
