what year is the boat---the glob leak is usually in the logic era boats with 85 gal fuel tanks. if it is a logic the water is coming from the bilge pump hose wearing the rule away from the floor over a stainless steel strap in the stringer. all the rule in that area needs to be removed and resealed and the bilge pump raised by adding a block of starboard under the pump. if it is an '02 or later, it is the first instance i am aware being discussed here
as for the drain you are also the first i know to put one on the left side of center. several of us have kicked around the need to put another drain on the left side of the center stringer. as for depth i have over a foot of foam dug out .
