I don't want to get off track here, so let me start with the suggestion of doing a search on the forum to find the tons of posts dealing with this topic. I'm sure there are many here who have actually done this procedure and will offer up advice. I hope you get the help you need soon as I'm surethis is frustrating for you.
My issue here is that some of the newer hulls are still having inner hul water leaks. I have an 06 215 and have the drain plugs in place to drain the inner hull. I have not even looked to see if thereis water in there because the dealer said that all inner hull water issues have been solved and that the only hulls that did have inner hull water leaks were the 190's.
So I guess I need to add checking for inner hull leaks to me to do list...
The question I have is, where is the water coming from? The hulls on these boats are advertised as being a seamless unit. So is it poor sealing of screw holes? Are the rod holders on the sides of the cockpit as source for water getting? The fish box drains barely drain to start with, do these leak into the inner hull?
My point is that if there's water getting in, why hasn't the factory fixed the problem? Putting a drain plug in the bilge isn't a fix!
After reading the "water proofing fish box" thread earlier today and hearing someone with a newer hull saying they have water in the inner hull coming from the drainplugs really has me disappointed in the factory's handling this defect!
