Cichlid - I would be a little suspect of a kicker smaller than 8 hp on a 210. Particularly as a "back up" motor with any current/wind. I have a 9.9 4S and beefy bracket. Paired with a Suzuki 140, I'm a little over the limit. But the boat came that way (bought used). No ill effects on the transom evident. Can't speak to potential warranty hassles. If Triumph is serious about having 215 owners with kickers they need to raise the recommended limit. I suspect having beefy guys use the swim ladder puts at lot more stress on the transom than a 90 lb kicker.
