One of the reasons that I bought the 150 yamaha for my 195DC (same weight and hull of the CC) was the
much better performance and
much better fuel economy than the 115 Yamaha. Guess the 115 just has to work harder I guess.
Not trying to talk you out of the 215, that's for sure, as it's a lot better hull if your going to spend most of your time out in the deep blue sea. But I wouldn't base it on fuel consumption, as the 195DC (or 195CC) gets fantastic fuel economy. The trips I've made with my boat pretty much agree with the Boat Test figures for fuel economy. The only thing different that I have found is that my boat goes about 47 to 48 statute MPH (GPS) at WOT with 55 gallons of gas, refreshments, and me and my son on board.
