That is a Minn Kota riptide 80lb thrust motor mounted trollin motor. the control is a single dial i mounted on the cc near the wheel. it works great I and slow troll real well now. It has pushed my baot up to 3 mph and had great battery life so far.
There are some draw backs though. You need to have at leat 13 inches of water above your cavitation plate on the motor to keep the prop submerged and that means you need to keep the motor trimmed down. I can troll around with it in between 2 and 3 ft of water w/o a problem. You steer the boat like you would with the motor. makes it harder I am sure to work a shoreline alone chasing those green striped fish with the large mouth, but for me trolling for stripers and walleye works great. I can also move around reefs with out having to fire up the gas burner.
