I for one went over my boat carefuly before I took it home, the few minor issues were quickly taken care of by the dealer/factory.
I like my little puddle jumper, I've traveled 530 miles in it this season and had a ball fishing out of it. Is it perfect? Not really, none of the 7 other boats I've owned were either for that matter.
Maitenance and upkeep sure is easy though and although I do try to take care of my stuff I bump the dock or hit stuff in the water now and then and it's sure nice not to have to worry about spiders in the glass or waxing hulls. Yeah they are a little rough around the edges but I bought mine to fish out of and use hard, had I wanted a show room boat with lots of fanct polished stainless and teak to keep up with I'd have spent about 3 times as much money and would be spending 4 times as much time cleaning and polishing my toy.
Like I said, I like my boat and I realized up front it wasn't a Parker or a Trophy.
What I find particuarly disingenious is to see people posting on this board on other boards under other names bad mouthing the boats as well as the people here who support the boats and this board in an extremely civil fashion.
They're claiming thier posts are either deleted or censored for content which is a flat out lie.
I guess my suggested solution to the people who are so darn unhappy with the boat they currently have is please sell it and get one that will make you feel like your dreams have come true and give the rest of us a well deserved break.
If you want to read about boat problems other than Triumph just go to any board that supports boaters and or fishermen and do a search on "Boat problems", you'll get hits for every brand of boat out there.
Ok I'm done.
