If you searched this site you'd have probably come across a similar experience that I had with my bilge pump. I had the same reaction Haha. The dealer changed out the pump under warranty, no problem. But if others reading have a similar problem, it could be temporarily solved by doing this: Look at your battery terminals, if you see a separate wire marked "auto bilge" coming off the + terminal, unplug it. Your console bilge pump toggle switch will then act as a plain old On / Off switch. You won't have an auto bilge pump anymore, but you'll save the battery and still be able to pump bilges.
