Bullets, Thank you for confirming what I've been trying to say. IF water gets into the inner hull it is because of a crack or an add-on to the boat that penetrated the inner hull and was not properly sealed with Rule Elastomeric. I posted last week an official announcement by Triumph regarding inner hull drains (
Inner Hull Drains...the official word from Triumph). Their position is that the exterior hull drains are not necessary. If you suspect inner hull water the drains that the factory installs can be used to drain the water to the bilge. I personally decided to add the exterior drain to my 215 for convenience and just to be sure. When I pull the boat out of the water I unplug my bilge drain plug and then the exterior inner hull drain. When I'm ready to go back in the water I just plug them both back in. No worries.
