Yup, maybe the previous owner had it propped for a specific application. Thing of it is, with the correct prop you could save fuel, unnecessary wear on the engine, and go faster. With my factory equipped prop I can troll at low speeds too. Personally even when I want to get somewhere fast I generally keep my RPMs at 5,000 or under to avoid running the engine at red line speed. Like I said, it will hit 6,000 at WOT but continued operation at those RPM's is bound to cause premature engine wear
