Chuck,

I agree with you, (if I remember what you said correctly) and in hindsight, the battery switch is a more fool-proof solution. After a few times of the embarassing answer "Yes, dear, it is NOW", turning the switch on has become part of my pre-launch routine.

As an aside, I remember an engineer I worked with commenting on how hard was was to make things fool-proof, since "fools are so ingenious"! Thinking over some of my past mistakes, I sure can relate to that comment.
