There are two dealers here in socal, if one is not giving you the attention or any decent price breaks check the other one out. I checked out another dealer after the same experience and have been very pleased with the way things turned out. I do drive a little further, but for satisfaction I have gotten from this dealership I feel it has been well worth it. Beyond price, is the consideration of the dealership also and how you feel with them. Mine has been there and gone out of there way for me time and again to keep me happy. That's why they get all my service and maintenance, no questions asked.
A few things you should do before purchase though. Try and meet the owner if he's there. See how hands on the business he is. Meet the service coordinator, because that is going to be who you are dealing with from now on. Meet the parts guys and check out the selection on hand and see how flexible they are as to getting what you need. Talk to another existing customer there and get his or her experience about them. After you have done all that you are little better armed to make a decision than just price alone.
I could have probably found my boat cheaper out of state, or haggled price between dealers to get that last nickle saved. But I found my boat at a dealer with pretty much the options I wanted and negotiated to get it in my range where I was comfortable. I certainly have not regreted making the decision either.
