I'm looking into getting my first boat. I want to fish intercoastal areas and limited offshore fishing. I first test road a 2001 logic side console 15'. I loved the ride and the deck space. I am currently going to look at a 2002 170 bass. Does anyone have any suggestions of what problems I might want to look out for? The one owner says that they have had it on a lift the majority of the time exposed in the hot florida sun. I have seen places on line where there are concerns about delamination of the core and all that. Is this something to be concerned about? Is there anyway to look for any damage that might be present.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way it has a 50hp Honda 4stroke. I've read a few places that this seems to be ample power for this boat and a CC may need a little bigger engine. Any thoughts on this?
