170CC Winterizing - FYI

Things I found out - 2007 170CC

Rod holders in gunwale dont drain to bilge like ones in front of console, they hold water. Splash of freezeban or pump dry.

Inner hull water, pour some freeze ban thru the front bow access plate, without the innner hull drain closed, it will eventually come out thru the hull drain.

Rear Storage compartments at transom don't drain completely (cross drain is higher than bottom), freeze ban is needed here. Freezeban in tansom bilge doesn't hurt.

Freeze ban in the deck hole access unde console (where engine wires come out) doen't hurt.

Livewell lines need anti-freeze (open the seacock to purge any air). Pump freezeban thru the spray head until it drips out thru the pickup, that way pump/seacock is winterized.

Freezeban at Wal-Mart (camper section)is the cheapest around, it blues but watertank safe down to -50. Not for engines however.
