Haha, just stick a drill or Dremel in my hand and I'm good to go!
Now, I have no issues what so ever of my poly rod holders not folding. I did add pvc coated HullSavers as colming bolsters (spelling?) between them. They easily hold my Penn 114h's etc securely.
Are you not able to use the rod holders on the center console base? I can't due to my t-top (but I have 12 other spots
