For some reason, I cannot picture the location of your present charger. Be that as it may, why not just drop / install the charger for the trolling motor in-between the trolling motor batteries inside the battery box? Worked great for me and I just screwed it down to the deck inside the battery box. And if I am not mistaken, I have posted pictures of just such an install
