I have 2 Odyssey AGM (PC 1200) units mounted "inside" my console to help get some weight forward and since they do not vent gas while recharging, I am not worried about the harness getting eaten up from battery acid.

I then have a perko switch mounted on the rear casting deck facing forward in a recessed plastic mounting made just for that kind of switch assy. I recommend doing a search on the words "dual battery" to find other threads posted on this well covered subject.
