I never use wax or polish. To clean up the boat I use Simply Green. I spray it on then run over it with a soft scrub brush and then spray it down good with my pressure washer. Cleans up really nice every time. There are a number of threads on the site about cleaning the boats and folks use different cleaners (use the search tool for "clean" but wax is never needed. Roplene does not shine like fiberglass does but if you want to shine it up some you can occasionally use some Amorall and wipe it down. But don't use it on the deck!
You can also use an electric buffer to run over the hull but be careful not to buff it too hard or too long as it will heat up the surface and 'burn' it, which will discolor the surface. Hope this helps.
