ted, fella is so right about what cold or hot temps do to these boats not saying its a bad thing its just the way the worlds toughest boats are. they ten to expand and contrac a lot. i know that i see bulges on my boat in some places when its real cold and they go away when it warms up. myself i would use the boat a few times first to see how the lids are going to act before i sanded them. i did have to sand down one of my seat storage lids if that makes you feel any better. but you did not go wrong buying a triumph. i guess the flexabilty of these boats is what makes them ride so good.
