Hi Steve. Since you purchased the 2005 boat in the fall of 2004, it probably has the older foam inserts in the splash well. I would check with your dealer (Hooked On the Bay?) as you can get the $20 kit from your dealer. If you hear any sloshing around when on the trailer you will know that water has collected in them. It is not a problem, just a bit of a nuisance and if the water has been there awhile you may notice an odor. To replace them you simply unscrew the splash well deck lids, clean out the splash wells, clean the lids, insert the new rotomoulded inserts, then use RULE Elastomeric liberally to seal the covers and the screws.

On my first Triumph (2003 210) I did the modification that Osprey Vic recently did, installing deck access lids in the covers so that I could periodically unscrew the lids and insert a wet/dry vac hose to clear them, then screw the lids back on. With my 2006 215 it has the new rotomoulded inserts and if there is any water in there is a minimal amount so I don't worry about it.

I hope this helps.
