Before you buy one I would suggest taking one out with your estimated weight for a normal day. The problem is not fixed on the new boats. Our is a 2007 with a 175. in a slow troll or when jigging. is the scuppers are leaking you will burn out your bilge pump. Ours went out on one two week trip. This is not a self bailing deck, unless you are at 15mph or faster or it is on the trailer. Any water that hits the deck will exit through the pump unless you are on the step.

As far as handling rough water we can stay confortable and dry at 25-30mph and most other boate are back at 15-20. They handle very well in poor weather.
