Old Barney,
Congratulations on your new 195CC. I'm like you,it is a great boat and takes the chop well. I had the same problem with the scars on the windshield from the soft plastic rubbing it before I received it. . I tried a product called Meguiars mirror glaze clear plastic polish. It is good for the soft plastic and the windshield. It did not remove the scratches from the windshield. I only tried a small area. I e-mailed Triumph and asked them if they knew a product that would remove the marks. They said that they did not know of one but to see my dealer about replacing my windshield. I did and they ordered a new one for me. When I tow my boat on the trailer with the t-top enclosure on I place a large towel in between the plastic and the windshield. I fold an end under the bungee cord on the console and the pressure holds the towel on. That should help a lot.I will remove the soft plastic in the summer, but I do not want to look through a sratched up windshield. Good luck.
