Checked with the factory on this and here is their response:

We do not condemn nor do we endorse the addition of a kicker motor to the 215. Due to the many different configurations that can come into play. We know it has been done successfully with no problems, as with most modifications we are not going to say with a blanket statement that
do this or your warranty will be voided, however if a problem were to occur and it was determined that it was the modification that caused it then that issue would not be covered. Your best resources are owners
that have performed the modification successfully and pick there brains.
