As I stated I have a logic 170cc now and take it offshore as far as 12 miles (weather and seas allowing). That being said I have really got the offshore bug and need something that can handle the rougher seas. I have loosened the deck on my boat (I am sure partly due to the pounding from the ocean) this seems to be a common problem with the older boats. This is the reason I have focused on the 21 footers as the deck is part of the mold and not screwed down.

My question is what kind of seas (ie 3-4' - 4-5') do you owners feel comfortable taking your boats into?

Any recomendations on motors? I have been leaning towards Yamaha four stroke or hpdi. Pros or cons?

Any other recomendations for offshore necessities or wants?

Thanks NCAngler: I have heard furuno is better than ray marine (durability wise ..which is probably the more important than features). I have seen your boat on here. Very Sweet boat would love it but I don't have that kind of money. I am looking in the 25 to 30 range. Whataya say...deal or no deal LOL.

Thanks to all posters, Glenn

Sidebar: Anyone at the factory reading I would mold stainless threaded inserts (something with a flange) into the hull and screw the deck down with machine screws and locktite.
