I know there has been a lot of discussion about props on the board. I am as far away from being an expert as one can be.

I am running a Yamaha 115 4-stroke on a Bay 190. The original prop was swapped out by the previous owner, I believe it is a 13 X 16, for use on a high altitude lake....it just doesn't make it in the salt. I am running the boat off the California coast, totally in the salt.

I have read about a variable speed, 4-blade, Propulse; the 13 X 17 Stainless steel, and the 13 X 19 Aluminum. I know I am delusional, but is there any consensus?
