The black "coax" thing now appears to be a drain line from the port transom scupper that runs "uphill" by the gas tank and the transon support to the starboard scupper line which ties into the rest of the drains that then goes thru the hull. Interesting concept....it appears that the line goes uphill! Almost defies gravity.
Now that I know what the line is, I could cut it and install a barbed fitting that will allow me to disassemble and move the line out of the way when I need to get to the seacock. Also, I am guessing that this line will capture water and need to be drained/treated/blown dry next fall when the boat is winterized. We have been known to get a tad below freezing up here!
Seems like a lot of work just to get at a valve......
