Rpm

Just reading old posts and came across your question. Hopefully, you are still part of the group and will get the answer.If you look at the Yamaha web site and find the engine specs. You will find a number that states:60HP@????RPM. That RPM is considered the max for the HP of the engine. Sort of close to the red line. The more time you spend at max RPM, the faster the wear on the engine. That's why race engines are rebuilt after every race.
