Like and idiot I pulled up to the fuel pump and tried to pump fuel into the rodholder. I thought, "She can't be full!!"

When I got back to the house I tried flushing the holder with water and a piece of foam floated up out of the rod holder. I wouldn't think the rodholder drained right into the foam but I really don't know.

Did I mess something up? I seemed to get some fuel smell into the bilge.
