First Ride on the New Boat..190
I wanted to let everyone on here know that I have made the purchase on the 190 Bay that was in my first post. The family and I went down to Southport on Saturday and took the boat out for its first adventure. When I test rode the boat the pump for the raw water washdown was locked up but was quickly repaired back at Blackbarry Marina. I will have to tell you that this thing will fly with the 150 Yamaha. I had it at 3/4 throttle and 1/2 trim around 5200 rpm and was at 50 on the GPS. I was very impressed with the way that the boat rode. When the family and I went back out after the purchase we went out about 4 miles and trolled around. The seas were around 2 to 3 feet. The boat trolled as expected for its size but much better than the last 21' Sea Fox I was in. We then went back towards the landing and caught a ton of little Spots, Croker, Whiting etc. The boat tows really well with the exception that my Double Cab 4X4 Toyota with the 4.0 V6 and Manual Gear Box averaged 10mpg on the way back. Of course I was at 70 mph the entire way and had 5 people in the truck along with all the other junk that I had along. Anyway just want to say thanks to everyone that helped me out with any questions I had.
Thanks, Jeremy B.
