Red face So, there is still a debate

1. The My-wedge product fits over a tilt piston, you lower the piston until the engine sits on the wedge. But, the engine is not propped up by the lower unit and there is still pressure on the transom.

2. You use the Transom saver product which takes the pressure off the tilt piston and pressure off the transom by putting the load on the trailer.

Seems, if you are trying to reduce strain on the transom, and strain on the tilt piston, number 2 would be better.

How about tilting up the motor, removing the tilt pin from the lower position, putting in the upper position and tilting the motor down until it stops?
