As I understand it, most fiberglass boats that have keel gaurds use a guard made out of polyethylene. You may scratch the hull by running it up on the beach but it should not harm the boat. As the other guys pointed out you would not want to leave it on the beach for an extended period of time as Roplene hulls require hull support for storage based on the trailer bunk configurations seen in our downloads section. We've run ours to the beach and anchored up with the bow in the sand with no visible signs on the hull. I believe there are a few pictures in the Photos section where members have their boats on the beach.
